Six playgrounds to receive upgrades

The Recreation and Park Commission has approved the recommendation of the Failing Playgrounds Task Force to rebuild six playgrounds using funds from the 2012 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond. Comprised of a diverse group of community leaders and co-chaired by the Parks Alliance, the Task Force spent several months reviewing data and assessing community needs.
