Dogpatch Playground to Break Ground

Dogpatch is the only San Francisco neighborhood without a playground -- but thanks to the efforts of a group of neighbors, Supervisor Malia Cohen, the San Francisco MTA and the Parks Alliance, that is about to change! The project will break ground in May.  For more information, visit the Dogpatch Playground web site >>

2014 Action Grant applications are out!

SFPA Action Grants fund volunteer engagement and community actions to improve and encourage use of San Francisco parks, recreation centers, and open spaces. These grants are intended to support actions that will involve your neighborhood and be consistent with our mission to inspire and promote civic engagement and philanthropy to protect, sustain and enrich San Francisco parks, recreation and green open spaces.

Last year, we supported 12 projects around the City, from community gardens to park events to greening projects. Do you have a project that needs some seed funding to get off the ground? Then our Action Grant program might be the answer! For more information, visit our Action Grants page >>>
