Street Parks Anniversary Celebration!

Next month, the San Francisco Parks Alliance and the Department of Public Works will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the innovative Street Parks program. Street Parks are playfully described as “spaces between places,” or chunks of public land that are prime candidates for greening, beautification, activation or recreational uses. The celebration is scheduled for October 4, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Subscribe to our e-news for updates about this event and other great park events!

On the ballot

Vote Park-Friendly

The San Francisco Parks Alliance is recommending yes votes on three San Francisco ballot initiatives this fall: Prop. E, the proposed tax on sugary beverages, Prop. F, the park-friendly development project at Pier 70, and Prop. I, which supports upgrades to playing fields and other park amenities. We recommend a no vote on Prop. H, which would put an end to the exhaustively-reviewed Beach Chalet soccer complex project.
