Balboa Natural Area

The Balboa Natural Area, along the Great Highway, is a 1.84 acre beach and dune sand area with restored dune vegetation - one of the few fore-dune communities in San Francisco. The Natural Area provides a recreational trail on an elevated boardwalk with connections to the trails of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area to the north.

This park is owned by the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department.
