Mission Bay Parks

These parks are a perfect example of a public-private partnership transforming former industrial sites into public space. When the initial site opened in 2004, there were only 12 acres of dedicated parkland in the total 303-acre mixed-use project. Today the site includes over 49 acres of public parks, and an additional six park sites surrounding the Mission Creek area. Mission Bay Parks is owned by the Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure (OCII) and the Port of San Francisco, and it's managed by the MJM Management Group.
