Linden Alley is one of San Francisco’s most celebrated “living alleys.” Once an unremarkable side street in Hayes Valley, Linden Alley is now a thriving pedestrian-centered destination that features landscaping, seating and a variety of local businesses.
Friends of Linden Alley is the group of neighborhood stakeholders committed to the long-term stewardship of this alley.
San Francisco Park Alliance received a Community Challenge Living Alley Grant on behalf of the Friends to install new benches, sidewalk gardens and overhead hanging lights, creating a beautiful, safe and welcoming public space for neighbors, merchants and visitors to enjoy!
